Encore Presentation: Joe Bouchard Of Blue Oyster Cult: “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper”, Which Was Featured In “More Cowbell”, Saturday Night Live’s Greatest Sketch!
Episode Notes
This is an Encore Presentation of my 2021 interview with Joe Bouchard, a founding member of Blue Oyster Cult, the band that had a huge hit with “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper”. That song later became an even bigger hit - and propelled a renaissance for Blue Oyster Cult - after it was featured in the iconic ‘More Cowbell’ skit on Saturday Night Live in 2000 featuring Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken.
My featured song is “New York City Groove” from Made In New York by my band Project Grand Slam. Spotify link.
